New Brew: DogFish Head & Google Unite

So what does DogFish Head Brewery have in common with the internet search engine behemoth Google?  Believe it or not, the two companies marked by their innovative spirit have joined forces to produce a new brew called URKontinent.   Apparently the Brew Masters at DogFish Head polled thousands of Google employees in order to get a sense of what kind of new concoction would best satiate both parties.  With hundreds of suggestions enthusiastically provided by Google employees the folks at DogFish eventually whittled down a recipe and formed a small team comprised of both Google and DogFish Head employees.  Together the two brands began the arduous process of brewing eventually resulting in a brand new concoction that bears the Google stamp of approval, even if they’re not officially supporting the beer.  As usual with DogFish Head products good luck hunting down the 8.1 percent limited edition brew.  According to Sam Caligione, owner of DogFish Head, the URKontinent is a “valentine to boot-strapping entrepreneurs in all kinds of industries all over the world.”  Known for using rare and unique ingredients in order to make their award winning beers, the URKontinent is no exception.  Brewed using three distinctly different types of malts (Munich, Pilsner, and Choclate) combined with South American toasted amaranth, Belgian Dark Candi syrup and Wattleseed from Australia along with other ingredients, this brew is sure to be a flavorful and complex powerhouse.  So keep an eye out for this interesting joint venture and be sure to comment and let us know if you happen to be one of the lucky ones who happen to come across a bottle!
