Today my friends I bring you an old school cocktail! For those of you who are fans of brandy, I bring you the Sidecar. The Sidecar is yet another beverage that hails from the prohibition era of this great nation (God bless the speakeasy for bringing us this delectable mix!). So this one goes out to all of those fabulous outlaws who kept the spirit (or is it spirits?) of the alcohol world alive! The Sidecar combines brandy, cointreu, and lemon juice into a potent, and citric masterpiece. In order to stay true to the original recipe, you must serve it in a martini glass with a sugared rim.
- 2 ounces of brandy
- 1/2 ounce of cointreu
- the juice of 2 lemon wedges
- combine ingredients into a shaker with ice
- shake, then strain into a martini glass with a sugared rim
There you have it my classy outlaws, the Sidecar, for your super secret sipping pleasure. Drink well my friends!
