Remember in college when you used to go to the bar just an hour before closing and take too many tequila shots? Usually it was whatever tequila I could afford (hell – books were expensive) and I really paid the price the next day with a headache that would never go away.
So now that I am slightly more mature my drinks have also evolved. Today I present to you the “Mink Coat and No Manners”. From what I have found on the internet it was invented by someone named Gary Regan. But Gary Regan seems like a dipshit if he suggest drinking garbage like Don Julio. Stick to a small batch tequila (we go with Senor Rio) for a whole new experience.
This recipe makes 1 serving.
3/4 oz. chilled Chartreuse Green
3/4 oz. Tequila Senor Rio Blanco
Pinch of cayenne pepper
Pour Chartreuse into a sherry glass.
Float tequila on top.
Finish with a sprinkle of cayenne pepper.
